After few blessings from diplomats and peace making colleagues - we had a meditative walk, led by Stephen Foulder and Suhail Diab our host from Nazareth. It ended in the convention hall, listening to brilliant panel of figures from all religions, Maoz Yinon, Nava Levit and Achinoam Nini who beautifully sang at the end. watch on Youtube.

השנה הגענו אל הדרום. בדצמבר 2026 הוזמנו לריטריט של שלום במואה בערבה, שם קיימנו שתי הליכות יפהפיות יחד עם עשרות המשתתפים, מכל הדתות והשפות... יצאנו מאולם האירועים של המרכז הרוחני והלכנו בדממה דרך גן המעין והחוצה לגבעות החוליות המשקיפות על נווה המדבר. סיימנו עם השקיעה בשירה מקודשת.  

בקרוב נקיים הליכה בנגב, עם תושבי העוטף כמו גם הכפרים הבדואים הבלתי מוכרים. זה יהיה ב 27.3.26, בסיומו של הרמאדן ולקראת ערב חג הפסח. אביב שכולו כוונה של שלום.

المجتمع والجذور

We're a small sangha, within few related sanghas, in Israel and abroad. Intertwined and connected, between deep roots and high skies. We invite all people - from diverse religions and nationalities, to practice with us meditation and peacemaking, in our region. 

We are mostly inspired by Tich Naht Hahn - the famous Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, peace activist, poet, and author, a pioneer of "engaged Buddhism", that spent his life teaching people how to find peace in the present moment and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King. We welcome other spiritual teachings that encourage equality and true humanitarian values.

This chapter in the long heritage of peace walks, was innitiated by Gil Ruda after attending the 2023 walk in London. Neora led at that time "The roaring silence" protest group. We both went to the beloved respected Zen couple Shaleigh and Baruch Shalev, who have studied with Tich Naht Hahn and are teaching widely in the Israeli Buddhist community, who brought in their blessed experience and wisdom, as well as strong strings to Plum Village.
